Why I am here

This blog was started to connect with and keep family and friends up to date on life in Texas as I know it. A place to share my love for this area through photography, history, and stories of this adventure Shaun and I call life.... and what an adventure it is!

Puddles

What is it about puddles that create an unexplainable urge to JUMP IN THEM!  Today in East Texas the puddles are numerous and huge!  Depending on the news channel you listen to we have gotten anywhere from 1.8 to 2.75" of rain since midnight, with more expected through tomorrow.  Of course our puddles are filled with red muddy water, they aren't pretty city puddles.
Annie was the only smart one today.  She found a spot on the window seat and watched Riker playing outside......
IN THE PUDDLES!

See that nice concrete sidewalk next to the puddle??? Apparently Riker doesn't have the same appreciation for clean concrete to walk on that we do.   It must be a boy thing.  It required a bath to get him house ready.  He got washed off, had dinner, went out and went straight for the puddle!  AAhhhhh! WE NEED GRASS!

So far this week we have finished the kitchen, master bath and guest bath tile back-splashes.  All of the door knobs have been installed and some of the cabinet knobs installed. Shaun has almost finished the shower tile in both bathrooms.  I think he has about had all he can stand of the tile business for a while.  They delivered our appliances yesterday.  Maybe this weekend we can get them installed. It is getting closer!  EXCITING!!!   After we get moved in, grass planted and settled, it will rain again and then WE can spend some time outside jumping in our new puddles!

Love and miss all of you
Jeanne
