Why I am here

This blog was started to connect with and keep family and friends up to date on life in Texas as I know it. A place to share my love for this area through photography, history, and stories of this adventure Shaun and I call life.... and what an adventure it is!

Colorado

We got to Colorado on Thursday and the weather was perfect!

It was exciting to see this sign, my mom was only a couple of hours away! It has been a year since we have seen my mom and Bill. I was in serious need of a mom fix. We talked and talked and laughed and talked some more. It was great! She cooked all of our favorite things and even did our laundry while we were off visiting friends. Spoiled us rotten! I don't care how old you are NOTHING beats mom time. I could spend days listening to Bill's stories about his family and life experiences. So many incredible and interesting experiences. There is never enough time.
We left today, (Saturday) for the final days of our trip.

These pictures were taken on Rabbit Ears pass outside of Steamboat Springs. They had a storm before we got there so there wasn't as much fall color as there usually is, but that wonderful fall smell and crisp feel was still in the air. Nothing beats a rocky mountain fall.

We had a great time and are very thankful for a safe trip filled with tons of family, friends, hugs and of course food and pampering. We are blessed.

Monday morning will bring heating/air guys, electricians, plumbers and painters to the house to get things moving again. So life resumes.

On October 17 two years ago we traveled this same road when we moved to Texas. It's time to go home.....Texas here we come....again.
Enjoy your weekend

Love y'all
