Children's park

Lately I have spent some time at The Children's Park in Tyler, TX. It is the perfect place to take photographs. Tons of great posing spots in and around beautiful landscaped ponds and waterfalls.
This little bronze girl playing in a pond, perhaps talking to a small frog, always makes me stop and reflect. Reflect about taking time for the simple things in life, things like talking to frogs, dipping our toes in the cool water of a pond or just sitting quietly listening to nothing but the sounds of nature.

The park is about honoring all children. There are names encircling the park, carved into stones, of children both living and deceased. It is an especially meaningful place to families who have lost a child because it provides opportunities to have children’s names engraved along the sidewalk, put on a bronze plaque beneath a tree or even on the plaque of a bronze statue. A quiet peaceful place of remembrance.

"All children are gifted and talented in some way"

This place tugs at my heart. It reminds me how very blessed I am to have two healthy sons, many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Take some time and reflect on the blessings God has given you and how you can bless someone through His grace. You have so much to give.
Make a difference in the life of a child today
