Junkin'

Shaun's mom, Pat, has been visiting for the last week from Salt Lake. No visit to Texas is complete without a little junkin'. What's junkin' you ask? Junkin' is the best form of scavenging, looking through piles of someone else's junk to find a treasure. It requires a fearless heart (there are spiders in that there junk) an open mind, and a BIG bottle of hand sanitizer! Ha!
We started at Canton First Monday Trade days, what a fun day

After recovering from a full day of shopping in Canton, we moved on to several other antique/junque stores around the area. This is one of my favorites. It is the Whitehorse Trading post in Noonday, Texas.

The front fence and entry gate. Need a pair of boots? Coffee mugs?

There are A LOT of things on the roof, including a lawn mower and a birdcage

The creepiest wine bottle cork ever....

I thought this little guy looked so sad

A pot of shells

And of course a lot of Texas stars and an insulator tree
It was an interesting day. We are on our way to Dallas to take Pat to the airport today. She is taking home an extra suitcase full of treasurers. It's been a great week

There is beauty in all things...you just have to look for it
Love to all of you and junk on!
Jeanne
